Cookie Policy

This cookie policy explains how the Svetki.com platform uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can manage your choices.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

2. Cookies We Use

The platform uses cookies that are necessary for its operation, cookies that remember choices you have made, a referral program cookie, and analytics and session-recording cookies. The referral, analytics, and session-recording cookies are set only with your consent given in the cookie banner. We do not use any advertising cookies. Separately from cookies, while you are signed in and using your dashboard we store a session-recording identifier in your browser's local storage. That is not a cookie, it is never used on public pages, and you can switch it off in Settings, Privacy.

2.1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation and security of the platform. They cannot be disabled and do not require your consent.

Cookie Purpose Retention
Session cookie Maintains your login session Session
XSRF-TOKEN Protection against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) Session
remember_* Keeps you signed in if you choose "remember me" Up to 12 months
cookie_consent Remembers your cookie consent choice Up to 12 months

2.2. Functionality cookies

These cookies remember your choices to improve your experience. They are set only as a direct result of an action you take.

Cookie Purpose Retention
locale Remembers your selected language Up to 12 months
theme Remembers light/dark mode Up to 12 months
event_guest_* Remembers your RSVP response when you respond to an event invitation Up to 12 months
last_social_provider Remembers which social login (Google or Facebook) you last used, so we can highlight it the next time you sign in Up to 12 months

2.3. Cookies that require consent

These cookies are set only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner. If you choose "Essential only", they are not set, and in that case a referral link works only for the duration of your current visit and no analytics cookie or session recording is used. Session recording inside your dashboard is a separate case and is described in section 3.

Cookie Purpose Retention
vendor_referral_code Remembers which provider's referral link you opened so that both sides receive the referral program bonus if you register 30 days
ph_* (PostHog) Analytics and session recording: recognizes your browser so we can understand how the platform is used and review session replays to improve usability Up to 12 months

3. Analytics and Session Recording

To understand how the platform is used and to improve it, we use analytics in two ways, depending on your cookie choice:

  • Without consent (cookieless): we collect aggregate usage statistics without cookies and without storing any identifier on your device, both through our own first-party system and through our analytics provider running in a cookieless mode. Visits are counted using a daily-changing, anonymized technical value that cannot be used to identify you or to track you across days or other websites. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving the platform (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • With your consent ("Accept all"): we additionally use PostHog, an analytics and session-recording tool hosted in the European Union, which sets a cookie to recognize your browser across visits and records your sessions (a "session replay" of page views, clicks, scrolling, and interactions), including activity in your dashboard once you are signed in. Password fields are always masked and are never recorded; inside the dashboard, other form fields are masked too (for example prices, phone numbers, and names you type), and message content you exchange through the platform is excluded from these recordings entirely, whether the words belong to you or someone else. This processing is based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by choosing "Essential only" or by clearing the cookie_consent cookie.
  • In your dashboard, with or without consent: while you are signed in and using your dashboard, we record a replay of the pages you open, your clicks, and your scrolling, so we can find the places where the dashboard is confusing and fix them. To keep one visit together, an identifier is stored in your browser's local storage; no cookie is set for this, and none of it applies to public pages. Password fields are always masked and are never recorded; every other dashboard form field is masked as well (for example prices, phone numbers, and names you type); and the content of inquiry and support messages is excluded from these recordings entirely, whether the words are yours or someone else's. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving the dashboard (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can stop it at any time in Settings, Privacy, which stops the recording on every device you sign in from.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some services may set their own cookies on their own domains:

  • Stripe: for payment processing and fraud prevention (when you make a payment).
  • Google: if you sign in with a Google account.

The cookies of these services are governed by the respective companies' privacy policies.

5. Managing Cookies

You make your consent choice in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. To change it, delete the cookie_consent cookie in your browser settings, and the banner will appear again. Dashboard session recording is not controlled by the cookie banner: switch it off in Settings, Privacy instead.

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Please note that disabling necessary cookies may affect the functionality of the platform (for example, you will not be able to stay logged in).

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy. The current version is always available on this page.
