Terms of Service

These terms of service govern the use of the Svetki.com platform. By using the platform, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Definitions

  • Platform — the Svetki.com website and related services.
  • Operator / we — the Svetki.com platform, its operator.
  • User — any person who uses the platform.
  • Customer — a user who searches for and requests services.
  • Service provider — a user who offers party and event services.

2. Role of the Platform

Svetki.com is an intermediary platform that connects customers with service providers. We are not a service provider and are not a party to the contracts concluded between customers and service providers. We assume no responsibility for the quality, performance, or mutual obligations of the parties.

3. Account and Eligibility

  • To use certain features, you must create an account and be at least 16 years of age.
  • You agree to provide true and current information.
  • You are responsible for the security of your account and password, and for all activity carried out under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Customer Obligations

  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes.
  • Provide accurate information in inquiries to service providers.
  • Agree on the terms, price, and performance of a service directly with the service provider.

5. Service Provider Obligations

  • Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information about your services, prices, and availability.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including tax, consumer protection, and licensing requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Do not publish misleading, unlawful, or infringing content.

6. Inquiries and Bookings

The platform allows customers to send inquiries to service providers. Sending an inquiry is not a binding contract. The final agreement, price, and terms are determined directly between the customer and the service provider, outside the platform's responsibility.

7. Event Planning Tools and Invitations

  • The platform offers event planning tools — a budget, a shortlist of selected services, a guest list, invitations, and a gift registry.
  • By adding guests' names and contact details, you confirm that you have the right to use this data and that you have informed your guests about its processing on the platform.
  • A published invitation page is accessible to anyone who has its link. You are responsible for whom you share the invitation link with.
  • The gift registry is informational — the platform does not process payments between guests and the organizer and does not guarantee the fulfilment of gift claims.

8. Payments, Subscriptions, and Fees

  • Service providers may be offered paid subscriptions to access platform features.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
  • Subscription fees are charged periodically (e.g. monthly or annually) until the subscription is cancelled.
  • Unless required otherwise by law, payments already made are non-refundable.
  • Prices and fees may change, subject to prior notice.

9. Reviews and User Content

  • Users may post reviews, ratings, and other content. Content must be truthful, fair, and lawful.
  • It is prohibited to post offensive, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful content.
  • By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within the platform.
  • We reserve the right to moderate or remove content that violates these terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights to the platform, including its design, software, logos, and content (except user content), belong to the operator or its licensors. This content may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.

11. Prohibited Conduct

When using the platform, you must not:

  • Violate laws or the rights of third parties.
  • Post fraudulent, misleading, or spam content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or other users' accounts.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without our permission.
  • Disrupt the operation or security of the platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for:

  • The quality or performance of services provided by service providers.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Disputes between customers and service providers.
  • Service interruptions or data loss not caused by our gross negligence.

13. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or threatens the security of the platform or other users. You may delete your account at any time.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes are resolved through negotiation; if no agreement is reached, by the court of the Republic of Latvia at the operator's registered address.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may change these terms. We will notify you of significant changes on the platform or by email. By continuing to use the platform after changes, you accept them.
